Camping

The Istrouma Area Council provides many different outdoor programs for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venturing Crews. Some programs and rentals are also available to other organizations who are interested in using one of our camp properties.

Outdoor Programs include Summer Camp and Winter Camp at Camp Avondale, Cub Scout Day Camps, Cub Scout Holiday Camp, weekend camping, and many more. 

  

Long Term Plan for Council Properties
The Istrouma Area Council is currently in the process of reviewing all Counicl properties as part of developing a long-range strategic plan to improve the quality of programs and services offered. Information has been collected from various surveys sent throughout the members of the Istrouma Area Council, online surveys, event evaluations and site visits of each property by members of the Strategic Plan Committee.
